Here at Unity Racing we believe in being honest and upfront about our results. Other tipsters may advertise huge profits from their laying systems but when you scratch the surface you soon realise that their figures are somewhat misleading.

 

They may not have factored in commission – can you lay at 0% commission? No!

They may have settled bets using industry starting prices – can you lay to SP? No!

 

For each of our individual systems we show you the results using three different sets of prices:

And all are inclusive of 5% commission.

 

Why three sets of results? We believe it is important to see how slight variations in individual odds can affect the overall returns. The results to industry SP are unrealistic headline-grabbing results used by other tipsters so are provided here for comparison purposes. The figures using SP + 10% are more realistic as long-term one should be able to average prices no greater than 10% above starting price. The Betfair SP results are equivalent to something like 18% above industry SP and are effectively a worst case scenario as experienced layers should easily be able to beat these prices long-term.

 

The Classic Lays and Premier Lays systems are profitable should you choose to lay all selections. However, we advise that you only lay those selections that fall within a certain price bracket. Horses whose starting price is less than 3/1 tend to win too often to be profitable for layers whereas those runners going off at 13/2 or more represent an unnecessary risk to our bank so we advise that you lay only the selections with a starting price between 3/1 and 6/1.

 

Obviously one cannot know the starting price of a horse in advance so rather than using the above SP range you may wish to lay only those selections which can be matched at the equivalent Betfair prices – 4.70 to 8.20.

 

By laying only those horses that fall into the above price brackets you minimise your risk and maximise your returns.

 

Qualifiers for the Market Leaders laying system can be laid regardless of price although most of the selections will head the betting markets. The main choice you have here is whether to lay to fixed stakes or fixed liability.
